Safer, faster,
more economical!
This homogeneous, isotropic and resistant construction system offers the advantage of minimum human initiative. It enables mistake- and damage-free manufacturing. It also enables a construction method which can be sustained for 365 days and at any and all weather conditions; it ensures short-time and dry manufacturing at the factory and the construction site. System elements are galvanized, which result with life-long protection against corrosion. The design is characterized with wide range of options, flexibility and aesthetics. It offers the net square meter of the space since interior space is free of column and beam.
Moreover, it is characterized with saving in siding and gain of space at rate of 7-10 percent in interior space since wall thickness are within Standard ranges in contrast to the conventional systems. It is lighter than other construction systems and it results with the advantage of higher earthquake resistance.(The resistance of Akkon Steel Construction System against earthquakes at magnitude of 7.0 – 7.5 on Richter scale is documented with the official report issued by General Directorate of Natural Disaster, Ministry of Public Works, Republic of Turkey) (Akkon Steel is among pioneering brands with structural steel qualification certificate in Turkey and it manufactures according to ISO 14001:2004, ISO 9001:2000 and OHSAS 18001 as well as EPD standards based on annual capacity of 35,000 tons.)
It shortens the period of construction thanks to the fast and easy mounting. Thus, indirect costs undertaken at the construction site are minimized. It offers several advantages including completion of work with fewer workers and within shorter time. This system involves long-life and permanent structures with high comfort standard rather than temporary prefabricated structures.
Interior and exterior images are identical to that of the conventional systems when construction works are completed. The system is operated under supervision of experienced engineers and architects and assembly works are conducted by workers at the factory and at the construction site.
It is compatible with all local and international standards in the field of design and manufacturing. Electrical and mechanical installations are considered during design of the steel structure system. Punching positions on walls and covering elements, where installations will be laid, shall be determined before the production starts and they are drilled during manufacturing process. Break, pouring and repair works are not required on the contrast to the conventional systems and this feature eliminates additional costs undertaken by the contractor during construction of the user during active use. It offers the user the facilities of high construction physics. (Necessary fire protection conditions are ensured thanks to the gypsum board and cement-based covering. Heat insulation is designed considering climatic conditions of all geographical regions and the design is applied with suitable materials. Thanks to this feature, heat insulation performance is high. The construction elements forming the structure ensure necessary acoustic insulation.)
American Society of Iron and Steel reported that recycling rate of steel is at and above 90 percent and it is certificated by International Environmental Management Systems. According to the American Association of Lung, this construction system enables construction of spaces with healthy interior air quality thanks to the materials used. Static calculations are uniquely made for each project and the resultant data is used for determining for maximum spacing and height of each floor. No problem is experienced in local and international supply of materials used in the system. The system has been commonly used in U.S. for over 50 years and it experienced a recent interest in European states and Gulf countries, particularly in emirates such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where construction renewals has recently started, and finally, it is introduced to Turkey by Akşan Yapı following the earthquake in 1999; the system experiences a gradual interest.
